DENVER, Colo. – Hilton Worldwide announced in June the appointment of Allen Paty to general manager of the DoubleTree by Hilton Denver and Red Lion Denver. In his new role, Paty will oversee all aspects of the hotels’ day-to-day operations including sales and marketing.

The 560-room DoubleTree and 298-room Red Lion are conveniently located between downtown Denver and the Denver International Airport and minutes from the Quebec Square Retail Center.

“Allen has a successful track record with Hilton Worldwide, holding positions at a number of Hilton Worldwide managed and franchised hotels,” said Ben Fusco, area vice president, Hilton Worldwide. “We are confident that under his leadership the DoubleTree by Hilton Denver and Red Lion Denver will continue to thrive,” Fusco added.

Most recently, Paty served as the general manager of Hilton Colorado Springs, a position he has held since 2008. Prior to that, he was the general manger at the Hotel Monaco in Denver for three years. Paty began his career in hospitality in 1981 with Trans World Services as Assistant General Manager at a historic hotel in Yellowstone National Park. In 1986, Paty began his longstanding career with DoubleTree as the Assistant GM of DoubleTree La Posada resort in Scottsdale.

This was followed by a stint as Resident General Manager at the DoubleTree Salt Lake City and a promotion to GM of the DoubleTree Hotel Durango. Following this, he held GM positions at the DoubleTree Tri Cities in Washington State and DoubleTree Denver Southeast.

Allen holds a bachelors degree in Business Administration from Georgia State University and has held board positions with the Colorado Hotel Lodging Association, Colorado Springs Convention and Visitors Bureau, and is past president of the Metro Denver Hotel Association and Durango Colorado Lodging Association.
