Jeffrey Vasser returns to Atlantic City to lead hospitality group

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ BR Guest Hospitality this month announced that Jeffrey S. Vasser, a longtime hospitality executive with senior leadership experience at organizations such as the Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority and Cipriani International, has been appointed Vice President, Joint Ventures of the widely acclaimed hospitality company.

In his new position, Vasser will oversee BR Guest’sthree restaurants and bars located at Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City which include Sammy D’s, Dos Caminos and Bill’s Bar & Burger.

Vasser brings 33 years of experience in the restaurant and hospitality industries to this new position.  His passion for culinary arts and the hospitality industry has taken him across the world and now back to his Atlantic City roots. During his career, the New Jersey native has developed a lifetime worth of experiences, knowledge and passion towards culinary artistry and a true hotelier lifestyle.  Vasser has served in key capacities for hospitality companies such as Four Seasons Hotels, Choice Hotels International, and Laventhol & Horwath, spanning areas such as Food and Beverage and Development.

He moved on to serve as a Senior Consultant with the Public Sector/Gaming and Entertainment Group of Deloitte & Touche having done a re-use analysis study of the Atlantic City Convention Hall and financial projections for numerous gaming, sports, and hospitality companies.  From there, Vasser was Chief Financial Officer of Cipriani International, overseeing areas such as accounting and finance to human resources, facilities, and MIS for the $60 million diversified restaurant and foodservice company.

For 11 years, Vasser served as president of the Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority, overseeing the daily operations of the public authority responsible for two major convention and event facilities and marketing the destination that anchors the region's $8 billion tourism industry.

The Linwood resident received his Master of Public Administration from Columbia University, School of International and Public Affairs. He is a graduate of Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration with a concentration in food and beverage management and is a graduate of Atlantic City High School.

BR Guest’s commitment to service and hospitality is also evident through its dedication of time and resources tocommunity-based organizations including City-Meals-On-Wheels, Memorial Sloan Kettering, PENCIL, and The James Beard Foundation. (January 7, 2016)
