Pennsylvania CCA elects a Center City lawyer as new chairman

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — Gregory J. Fox, a partner at Montgomery McCracken Walker & Rhoads has been named the new Pennsylvania Convention Center Authority chairman.

Fox replaces Thomas “Buck” Riley, who resigned May 12.

Riley, a Chester County, Pa., lawyer, oversaw much of the Pennsylvania Convention Center’s $786 million expansion, including the March opening.

Fox has served on the PCCA board since being appointed by then-Gov. Mark Schweiker in 2002. He is head of Montgomery McCracken’s business department and is a member of the firm’s management committee. He has an undergraduate degree in economics from Muhlenberg College and juris doctorate and an LLM in taxation from Temple University School of Law.

Fox will oversee a 15-member board made up of representatives from the city, area counties and state.
