LAS VEGAS — Officials from the World of Concrete and Las Vegas celebrated the trade show’s 40th anniversary with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Las Vegas Convention Center on Jan. 21, 2014.

The conference was first held in Las Vegas in 1976, and rotated between Las Vegas and other cities before making Las Vegas its permanent home in 2005. Since then, the World of Concrete has helped generate nearly $700 million in non-gaming economic impact, and sustained tens of thousands of jobs in Southern Nevada. The World of Concrete runs Jan. 21-24 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Providing abundant opportunities for networking, training and business growth, this well-known industry mega-show will include more than 1,000 leading suppliers and an expected 50,000 registered concrete and masonry professionals.
