Digital Signage Technology

Helios puts the ‘wow’
in digital displays

By Vincent Hernandez
Trade Show Expo

LAS VEGAS — Mike Schaiman carried a backpack containing his laptop while attending Exhibitor2010 this past March. A trade show booth may have been more practical for him but his busy schedule made it difficult for his company to fully participate in Exhibitor2010.

HeliosInside his backpack he carried a presentation that should have been seen by all attendees. Without a booth Schaiman, the managing director of sales and business development for Helios Interactive Technologies, resorted to contacting a few people to demonstrate his technology, which is changing way companies interact with people through compelling interactive experiences.

To demonstrate Helios’ technology, Schaiman used his laptop to show examples of how his 3-D interactive display interacts with individuals. The technology interacts with an ordinary paper containing an advertisement or some other photo image. All that is needed is a computer with a Web camera.

EXHIBIT EXPERTISE

Siskind

Find the joy of exhibiting

Are you happy with your trade show efforts? I am not asking if you are satisfied with your results but rather if your efforts bring you satisfaction. Exhibiting takes a lot of time, requires a tremendous amount of energy and puts you under a considerable amount of pressure to perform.

Exhibiting requires a herculean effort to be the best you can when you are meeting clients face to face.  Are you happy doing what you do?

There is more to happiness than an occasional smile and a good belly laugh. We live in a culture that continually bombards us with the promise of instant happiness. If we drink the right beer, take the right pill, drive the right car, or land a new account, happiness can be ours. Yet, how many of us are truly happy?

Experient assists clients with relocation after Nashville flooding

Experient logoTWINSBURG, Ohio — As historic flooding of the Cumberland River leaves Nashville and other middle Tennessee areas reeling since the May 3 inundation, Experient, the source for integrated meeting and event solutions, has been hard at work assisting its clients whose events are affected.

NashvilleAmong the events impacted by flooding is the Romance Writers of America’s 2,000-person Annual Conference, scheduled for July 27 to 31 at Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center.

With Opryland’s beautiful indoor atriums slowly draining from ten feet of water and the venue closed for the next 90 days to assess the flood damage, Experient stepped up to assist RWA with relocation.

Linda Walter, CMP, strategic account manager with the Experient St. Louis office, immediately began the search for a facility suitable for RWA’s event.  Within 48 hours, Walter researched and negotiated a contract with the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort in Orlando, and the document was signed by mid-afternoon May 5.
