In its 21 st year, LFI, the world’s largest annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference, is set to present—in less than two weeks—its renowned educational program and trade show floor robust in innovative products and technologies.
The 2010 trade show floor features four pavilions—two of which have flourished into prime destinations for LFI attendees and two of which are set to debut this year. The two new pavilions for the Las Vegas show are the Building Integration Pavilion and the Global Light + Design Pavilion—known since its 2008 introduction as the European Light + Design Pavilion.
Strategically staged throughout the LFI trade show floor to ensure maximum exposure, the four pavilions are
- Building Integration Pavilion, launching in 2010 to address one of the industry’s foremost topics of interest, features companies with enterprise system technologies used to maximize and form energy efficient buildings, and also spotlights building integration’s most successful projects
- Global Light + Design Pavilion introduces a newly expanded pavilion, featuring the world's finest and most unique decorative lighting designs from globally-recognized manufacturers with headquarters outside the U.S.
- Daylighting Pavilion, the trade show counterpart to LFI’s Daylighting Institute, displays products from manufacturers in the lighting industry who have incorporated natural and artificial lighting into their designs, while improving overall efficiency and economic and environmental benefits
- Design Pavilion showcases upscale decorative designs with a creative edge, a wide range of lighting styles and innovative products setting trends in the lighting industry
The newest addition—the Building Integration Pavilion—is supported by a comprehensive educational track as part of the renowned LFI Conference and the LIGHTFAIR Institute. With this, LFI 2010 attendees will be able to discover Building Integration both on the trade show floor and in the classroom.
To celebrate the launch of Building Integration at LIGHTFAIR, two cocktail receptions will be held in the pavilion with the opportunity to win one of two Apple iPad 64GBs. The parties will take place on Wednesday, May 12—the opening day of the trade show floor—4-6 p.m. and Thursday, May 13, 4-5 p.m. There will be one drawing each day for the iPad, and it will take place at the reception in the Building Integration Pavilion.
LIGHTFAIR International is the world’s largest annual commercial and architectural lighting trade show and conference and is sponsored by the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) and the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES). The event is produced and managed by AMC, Inc.
