A.T. Kearney chairman to deliver keynote ACTE Global Education Conference
ALEXANDRIA, Va. — As part of a bold endeavor to position its international membership for the “new normal” manner of conducting business during a fragile economic recovery, the Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) announced that Paul S. Laudicina, Managing Officer and Chairman of the Board, A.T. Kearney, Inc., will deliver a keynote presentation at (ACTE’s) Global Education Conference, to be held in Chicago, May 16-18, 2010. Laudicina will speak on Monday, May 16, at 8:30 a.m.
The founder and current Chairman of A.T. Kearney's Global Business Policy Council, a strategic service for CEOs, Laudicina serves on the Board of the Executives Club of Chicago, the Mayor’s Board of World Business Chicago, and the President’s Council of the University of Tokyo.
He is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the International Advisory Board of BritishAmerican Business. He was named to Consulting Magazine’s annual ranking of the Top 25 Most Influential Consultants in 2005, and, again, in 2007.
“Paul Laudicina is one of the world’s leading authorities on strategic planning and risk management,” said Richard Crum, ACTE President. “His insight and analysis constitute guidance for CEO’s the world over. His presentation at ACTE’s Global Education Conference in Chicago is especially appropriate for the ranking travel management executives that make up our attendee profile.”
Author of World Out Of Balance, Laudicina contends that companies and countries need to develop their own structured processes for reading the signs of change. “The objective is to sort false signals from meaningful developments and to enable leaders to act rather than merely react,” he wrote. Laudicina’s address at the ACTE conference will focus on the fundamental-reset of business practices in the wake of “The Great Recession,” the heightened rate of change in the global business landscape, and strategies that have enabled some companies to grow despite the current financial environment.
The ACTE Global Education Conference in Chicago is designed to bring together the leaders of the business travel industry to share new ways of thinking and successful strategies during education and networking sessions throughout the event. The conference will be more participatory than ever before — from live audience polling to real-time interaction with colleagues around the world via ACTE's virtual platform.
