With more than 20,000 new products on display, the International CES is the world's largest consumer technology tradeshow.

CE Spotlights throughout the CES show floor will feature key market categories including apps, green technology, gaming, location based services and more. Owned and produced by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), the 2010 International CES returns to Las Vegas, January 7-10, 2010.

"With a record number of new exhibitors, scores of new product introductions, several new Spotlights on the show floor and a dynamic lineup of keynotes sessions, the 2010 International CES will be our best show yet," said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, CEA. Hilton New York unveils renovated prime ballroom space featuring contemporary, fresh new look

Hilton Ballroom

The newly remodeled Trianon Ballroom at the Hilton New York.

NEW YORK, N.Y. — The 1,980-room Hilton New York recently completed an ambitious $1 million soft goods refurbishment program of its Trianon Ballroom triplex and Mercury Ballroom, totaling over 15,000 square feet.

To celebrate the relaunch of its Trianon and Mercury Ballrooms, the Hilton New York held a festive reception and party last night to mark this special occasion inspired by a retro 1960’s pop art design concept with a modern twist created by noted New York event planner, Jerry Sibal, founder of Design Fusion.

Manhattan-based design firm Champalimaud Design handled the refurbishment program and took a customized approach to redesigning each ballroom.  Champalimaud’s designers were inspired by the Hilton New York’s “grand hotel in the modern tradition” style and created a contemporary new look by incorporating classic architectural design elements into the materials used including wall coverings, carpeting, fixtures, furnishings, etc.

These function rooms with ceiling heights of approximately 23-foot, 6-inches, along with the hotel’s 25,000-square foot Grand Ballroom (the largest hotel ballroom in New York City), serve as the “heart” of the Hilton New York’s existing role in the vibrant and dynamic commercial and social fabric of midtown Manhattan venues.

Former Champion trio launches
new service contracting company

By Vincent Hernandez
Trade Show Expo

Leaving a well-know company to start a new venture in today’s economy can be a big gamble, but for three former Champion employees, the gamble is worth the risk.

“It just became a time that we wanted to evolve and that option was not available at Champion,” said Nate Derby. “ It was a time for us to move on and innovate in a new way in the industry. The economy right now seems to be down but it is a good time for us to launch our company.”

Derby said he was satisfied working at Champion — a company he joined in 1998. For the most, business partners Chris Valentine and Chris Young, also enjoyed their time and experience with Champion but when they began seeing different ways to serve the industry, they decided to form T3 Expo, a new general services contracting company.

Launched in October, the three T3 Expo’s founders say that they plan to use on-demand delivery models and online collaboration tools to make the trade show services business more responsive to clients and more affordable.

EdgewoodSTATELINE, Nev. — Edgewood Tahoe recently announced a new addition to its repertoire of beautiful event venues and lodging options.

The famed golf course and restaurant now offers the Beach House for events and/or guest accommodations while they enjoy the spectacular golf course and Lake Tahoe scenery.

Located on the breathtaking shores of Lake Tahoe and just steps from the world renowned Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course, the Beach House gives guests the opportunity to lease the Lake Tahoe lifestyle while having full access to the perfect setting for weddings and private events with a spectacular Lake and mountain views as a backdrop.
